Sébastien Vaničekis still thinking about his Evil Dead spinoff film. Chucky could take another wild turn if it’s renewed for another season. Plus, what’s to come on the return of Reginald the Vampire. Spoilers get!
Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein
According to Guillermo del Toro on Twitter, Ralph Ineson enjoys a small, but “pivotal” role in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein.
Untitled Evil Dead Spinoff
During a recent interview with Screen Rant, director Sébastien Vaniček revealed he’s still conceptualizing his planned Evil Dead spinoff movie focusing on the Necronomicon.
I would love to answer this question, but we are in the early process of the writing, so we have so many questions. We just wrote stuff with my co-writer, it’s the same co-writer I wrote Infested with, so I’m working with my team, I’m really glad. But we are in the process of building our story, our characters and everything, and we are chatting with each other. There’s so many ideas coming from everywhere. For the moment, we are in the sandbox, and we haven’t started to build a castle, we are just gathering the best sand, and as soon as I have the best sand, I will start to build a castle.
Ready or Not 2
By a similar token, Ready or Not co-director Tyler Gillett told Entertainment Weekly the upcoming sequel is still “getting figured out,” though a script exists and is “an absolute fucking banger.”
It’s getting figured out. That’s what we’ll say: Ready or Not 2 is getting figured out. What we can say is that there is a script that is an absolute fucking banger of a sequel. And however it gets made, and in whatever capacity we are helping get it made, we are so excited that it’s happening.
Terrifier 3
Bloody-Disgusting has word filming has officially wrapped on Terrifier 3.
Dancing Village: The Curse Begins
To protect her village from a demon, a young woman is ritualistically forced to dance for the rest of her life in the trailer for Dancing Village: The Curse Begins.
Star Wars: The Acolyte
In another recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Dafne Keen stated The Acolyte hopes to top Darth Maul’s lightsaber battle against Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Phantom Menace.
Yeah, that was a very frequent conversation we had. It was very much: We want to top the Darth Maul fight—the most iconic fight, I think, in the Star Wars cinematic universe. It’s such an amazing fight and we were all so excited about the saber fights. There’s such a skill and a craft to it that it feels so OG Star Wars and feels so impressive when you see it as a viewer.
Chucky
During a recent interview with The Direct, Don Mancini stated “another left turn” is in store for Chucky if the series is renewed for a fourth season.
There’s very little I can say about that. I can’t tell you my idea for Season 4, but I’m really excited about it. I already pitched it to the network. So fingers crossed because it’s something I’d really like to do.
I think it’s really fun, new, and again, another left turn in terms of what we’ve been doing so far. We don’t know the status of the show yet. So again, fingers crossed that we will get picked up, right?
Reginald the Vampire
Finally,
Vampires go to war against angels in the trailer for Reginald the Vampire’s second season.
